When the going gets weird, the weird call Greg Newkirk

G reg Newkirk is an award winning producer, full-time paranormal investigator, and founder of the world’s only mobile museum of the unexplained. In other words, he’s a professional weirdo. Whether he’s guiding beloved actor Jeff Goldblum on a Bigfoot hunt for Disney+, building ancient spirit communication devices on the Travel Channel, or orchestrating mind-blowing alien abduction experiments in the hit series Hellier, Greg has become the go-to source for new and exciting adventures into the unknown. When the going gets weird, the weird call Greg Newkirk.

GREG NEWKIRK: PROFESSIONAL WEIRDO

As one of the world’s only full-time paranormal researchers, Greg Newkirk has spent the last twenty-five years traveling the world in search of real monsters, modern mysteries, and yes, ghosts.

You’ll find Greg lecturing on Bigfoot to a packed auditorium on one day, rappelling into caves in search of dead gods on another, and occasionally you’ll turn on your tv to discover him leading millions of viewers in a live occult ritual. No matter the adventure, Newkirk is always pushing the boundaries of the paranormal, sparking global discussions on the nature of the anomalous and our relationship with it.

Greg is co-creator and Executive Producer of the award-winning documentary series Hellier, which delves into unsettling occurrences in the Appalachian mountains. Now in its second season, the series has been streamed more than 3.1 million times since release. A third season of the hit television series is on the way, and Greg is currently producing and starring in The Unbinding, a new feature-length documentary set for a 2023 release.

In 2013, Greg formed Planet Weird, a production company dedicated to the research, development, and distribution of highly curated paranormal content. In an effort to continue building a more inclusive community around the exploration of the unexplained, Greg also created Phenomenacon, the world’s first online paranormal conference, a three-day event which brings the brightest minds in high strangeness to homes across the world.

In addition to researching, investigating, and writing about the paranormal, Greg regularly acts as a consultant and on-camera talent for numerous television productions on the subject of the strange, including projects that have aired on Travel Channel, TLC, and Discovery, as well as upcoming series for Disney+ and National Geographic, among others.

Greg enjoys vintage occult books, strong coffee, and consuming both in empty diners on deserted interstates in the middle of the night. He currently resides in Cincinnati with his wife Dana, their three feline familiars, and plenty of friendly phantoms.

Greg’s adventures have taken him all over the world in search of the strange, and he’s found himself diving for wreckage in the Bermuda Triangle, running his fingers through secret sigils carved by Aleister Crowley in British castles, and chasing Sasquatch through the old growth forests of California. No matter where, no matter when, Greg’s suitcase is packed and he’s ready to explore the next big mystery in the next far-flung destination. So, where’s he headed next? That’s top secret.
